Entries

Free entry to all NZ Secondary School students.

During registration, each skateboarder will be asked to provide their name, school, year level, division, emergency contact, and consent for any photo or video content captured at the event. Competitors will also be asked to provide their school sports office or principals contact details and the option to attach a signed consent form to enter the event. If there is no consent form attached for any reason (eg. multiple athletes from the same school, waiting for principal consent) then SBNZ will contact the school a week or two prior to the event to confirm competition enrolment. There is a copy of the template attached to the registration form.

Entries will only be confirmed once the school verification is complete. Competitors will receive a confirmation email with event details and the full timetable closer to the time once their entry has been approved. All registrations must be submitted by Monday 31st August at 5pm. SBNZ invites principals and school staff to champion and send all students interested in participating, who might otherwise be excluded from such events due to attendance or academic challenges. Skateboarding is a creative and inclusive sport that can help motivate and inspire students.

Home-schooled students: Due to SSNZ rules, purely home-schooled students are not eligible to enter. However, students registered through online correspondence providers (such as Te Kura) are eligible, provided they have a teacher or principal who can approve the registration and track attendance.

Non-Domestic students: You must be enrolled in and have commenced attendance at your school of representation on or before the first day of the term in which the event or qualifier is held.
