We’re excited to announce that Skateboarding New Zealand (SBNZ) is now a High Performance Sport New Zealand ( HPSNZ) investment partner. As part of a new Aspirational Fund, skateboarding will receive $33,000 per annum over the next three years. The investment will go towards high-performance pathways and campaigns for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This announcement is the result of significant effort from the SBNZ team. It also marks the beginning of a new phase for HPSNZ that acknowledges the cultural diversity of sports such as skateboarding. It will open many new doors for SBNZ and skateboarders pursuing high-performance pathways. It will enable us to help grow talent and realise the potential we have in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
